Applications Eligibility for BUNAC visa sponsorship

You must be:

  • 18 years or over
  • A US national or be currently studying in the US
  • In possession of a valid passport
  • Currently studying on a full-time degree programme or a graduate who will start the internship no more than 12 months beyond the end of their studies
  • Holding sufficient support funds and travel insurance
  • Hold an acceptable internship for up to 6 months – this is where the Twin Internship Service helps you

Applications should be made no later than 6 weeks before you require the internship to start.

Internship Location

Your Twin Internship can be a placement anywhere in the UK where an employer is willing to offer you an internship. BUNAC visa sponsorship allows for only one agreed internship placement.

Details

Twin will try to match your internship as closely to your needs and experience as is possible, in advance of you applying for your UK visa. We will ensure that your internship placement is approved by BUNAC and that the internship employer issues you with the necessary employment contract necessary for BUNAC’s visa sponsorship.

Important - BUNAC will not sponsor your visa until all their conditions of sponsorship are met which includes your internship placement.

There is no study component required for this internship programme, however if you are required to earn course credits from your college or university then please discuss this with us first so we can advise and help: admissions@twinuk.com

There is also an option for Twin interns to gain the Professional Development Programme in Work Experience Certificate developed by Twin and awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). www.i-l-m.com

Fees

Fees are paid separately to each provider:

Internship Placement Service £650
Booking Fee £50
ILM Certification (optional) £95
BUNAC’s Fees
Programme Fee $750
UK Visa Fee £190 (Approximately $210 – to be paid to UK Border Agency when applying for your visa)
Insurance $189 (per 3 months if taking BUNAC’S policy)
Support Funds $1500 (for paid internships)

What Twin requires from you:

  1. Completed Twin Internship placement Service Application Form (see Process Chart and Terms & Conditions)
  2. Copies of your BUNAC support documents (see BUNAC website for a list of required support documents)
  3. CV / Resume
  4. Deposit - £200

Enrolment

  • Enrolment is easy, you apply to BUNAC and Twin simultaneously. Once we have found you a suitable internship then we will send the completed BUNAC Employer’s Application and Agreement to BUNAC to tie up your visa sponsorship application
  • When your sponsorship has been agreed with BUNAC the balance of your Twin fees must be sent to us
  • If we can not find you a placement or if your sponsorship is not accepted by BUNAC then we will refund you £100 from your deposit
